Abstract

Creative Commons stimulates artistic integrity without diminutive effects on commercial success; traditional copyright however, is forgetting to protect the artist, promotes art that is geared towards commercial success with little regard to art’s purpose. With tradition copyright increasingly serving as an umbrella for (and of) publishing industries, Creative Commons offers a relaxed and flexible alternative that give the power to the artist, and freedom to the consumer.
